Arlene Barraclough Clark passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015. Memorial service: 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 6, at Trinity Terrace, 1600 Texas St., Fort Worth. Arlene was born Oct. 2, 1920, and grew up in Topeka, Kan., with her parents, Mary and Albert Barraclough, and her sister, Frances. Homecoming Queen Arlene fell in love with the captain of the football team, Louis Clark Jr. Arlene and Louis married and after his Army Air Corps service, Louis was employed by Shell Oil Company. They moved 36 times in their first 40 years of marriage. Every six months Arlene would pack up her house and move with her husband and children to a new city and begin to create another "home." She was a great hostess and always involved in the community. Arlene loved golf, bridge, painting and quilting. Arlene was an active member of April Sound Church in Montgomery. In 2006 she moved to Fort Worth and enjoyed her daughter, Christ Chapel Bible Church, TCU football and her friends at Trinity Terrace. Survivors: Her children, Ronald Clark and his wife, Linda, Douglas Clark and his wife, Doris, and Judith Clark; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
