Alice L. Adams, age 98, of Rockwood, TN and formerly of Marshall died Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at her home.

Mrs. Adams was born on March 19, 1917 in Benton County, Indiana to Delmar and Inis (Corwin) Perry. She was a long time resident of the Marshall area. Alice worked as a Waitress for Deans Friendly Tavern and then Riverside Inn in Marshall for over 30 years.

On January 13, 1936, she married Paul Adams in Indiana. He preceded her in death on April 21, 1967.

Alice had a very charismatic personality and made friends easily. She loved making handcrafted quilts, working puzzles and flower gardening.

She is survived by daughters, Joyce Yaudes of Spring City, TN and Betty Kelly of Lakeland, Florida; 9 grandchildren, Paul Adams, Douglas Adams, Denise Mathis, Dawn Short, Paula Fuller, James Dowding, Lorraine Hutchins and Debora Stroshine; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by a son, Vernon Adams in 1985 and a grandson, Gerald "Jerry" Adams in 2004.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3 P.M. to 5 P.M. at the Craig K. Kempf Family Funeral Homes, Marshall Chapel. A funeral service to celebrate the gift of her life will be held 10:30 AM Friday, April 3, 2015 at the funeral home with Reverend James Codde officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Assistance with memorials is available at the funeral home.
