Stacy Alice Ferrell

Stacy Alice Ferrell, 88, of Boise, died Wednesday, May 7, 1997 in a Boise Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 12, at Morris Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Simon Van DeVoord will conduct the service.

Stacy was born June 29, 1908, at Salt Lake City, Utah, to Lillian and Henry Jack Ferrell. Stacy was raised in Boise and attended Boise schools. Stacy's passion was dance for which she earned numerous awards. As an accomplished dancer and, while in her twenties, she co-owned and operated a dance studio in Boise. Stacy eventually chose a career with the U.S. government and resided in Washington, D.C., and later in Pasadena, Calif.

St. John's church and Catholicism were a very important part of Stacy's life. She enjoyed music, playing piano, and the company of her friends. She will be remembered for her compassion for those close to her and her sense of humor.

Stacy is survived by a nephew, Charles Cosgriff of Boise. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Grace Cosgriff, and her brother, Jack "Bud" Ferrell.

She will be laid to rest next to her father and her grandparents, Felix and Nancy Ferrell.(The Idaho Statesman, Boise, Idaho, Saturday, May 10, 1997)
