The Democratic Advocate, Saturday February 3, 1906

John W. Tracy, aged 73 years, 3 months and 29 days, died at his residence near Lineboro at 8 p.m., February 1, after an illness of several weeks. Mr. Tracy was one of the best known and highly esteemed citizens of Manchester district, and was a man of sterling qualities.
He is survived by the following children: Willis Tracy, James Tracy, Charles Tracy, Mrs. Seaberry Smith, Jacob Tracy, Mrs. George Miller, Mrs. William Wertz, Mrs. Horatio Kneller, and Parker Tracy.
A brother, Theodore Tracy, and two sisters, Mrs. J. V. Wentz and Mrs. David Maring, also survive him.
His funeral will take place at Lineboro at 10 a.m. Sunday.
