Airey Norman Baringer, 81, of Abilene died Monday, March 30, 2015 in an Abilene hospital.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 2, 2015 at the Baker Heights Church of Christ with Wes McAdams officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home.

Mr. Baringer was born February 27, 1934 in Easton, Pennsylvania to Airey Joseph and Jeannette Baringer.

After graduating from Easton High School he joined the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean War and Vietnam earning a purple heart. He moved to Abilene from New Jersey in August 1968 and retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1973.

Mr. Baringer married Donnie King Bradshaw in Abilene March 9, 2001.

After retiring he worked as a salesman for American Classified.

Mr. Baringer was a member of the Baker Heights Church of Christ in Abilene.

Mr. Baringer is survived by his wife Donnie of Abilene; two sons, Airey Norman Baringer II and wife Cheryl of Lewisville and William Nichols Baringer of Corpus Christi; one step son, Steven Neal Bradshaw and wife Lisa of Decatur; one daughter, Robin Baringer Rice and husband Robert of Houston; twelve grandchildren, Airey Norman Baringer, III, Derek Ian Baringer, Nicholas Baringer, Amanda Weidmann, Rachel Elizabeth Rice, Robert David Rice, Matthew Collin Rice, Zachery Bradshaw and wife Kelsea, Kyle Bradshaw, Shelby Bradshaw, Lyndi and Lauren Luttrull and four great grandchildren, Kutter, Sophia, Luke and Ruby.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, John Baringer; and two sisters, Marilyn Baringer and Ruth Ann Baringer.
