Mr. McKinley was a native of Greene County and lived in Sparta for a number of years before moving to Milledgeville 55 years ago. He owned and operated McKinley Equipment Repair and was a devout Quail Hunter. He was the son of the late Edgar Lawson McKinley and Nancy Josephine Askew McKinley.
He is survived by his wife, Jewel Farr McKinley of Milledgeville; daughters, Martha Ann Arrington of Alabama and Irene (Clark) Grimes of Eatonton; son, James A. (Yvonne) McKinley of Milledgeville; stepchildren, Kathy (Darrell) Patrick of Milledgeville and Ronny(Vicki) Gholson of McIntyre; brother, J.W. McKinley of White Plains; 12 Grandchildren and 13 Great-Grandchildren.
