George A. Bernards died at the age of 95 on March 25, 2015 at St. Paul, Oregon.
George was born October 14, 1919 in St. Paul, Oregon to Frank and Charlotta (Vanloo) Bernards.He spent his whole life in St. Paul, graduating from St. Paul High School. George married Dorothy Berning in Mt. Angel, Oregon on June 26, 1945.
He owned and operated St. Paul Feed and Supply for 50 years. He also served on the telephone board and Volunteer Fire Department. George was a member of the St. Paul Rodeo Association and was inducted into the St. Paul Rodeo Hall of Fame. George was a board member of Concentrates Inc. in Portland, Oregon. He especially enjoyed hunting, riding his horses and his grandchildren.
George is survived by his wife, Dorothy, a son, two daughters, a brother and two sisters, 7 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass was held Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 19:00 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul. Interment to follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
