Jessie Rae Gibbs, 101, of La Grande, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2014 at a local care facility. At the request of Jessie, there will be no service.
Jessie was born March 18, 1913 in Cove, Oregon to Rance D. and Laura Edna (Shoemaker) Stacey. She resided in La Grande, Oregon and graduated from Union High School.
Jessie is survived by her daughter, Ina Lea Wood of Elgin, Oregon; sons, Grant Gibbs and his wife Penny of California, and Jonnie Gibbs and his wife Shirley of La Grande, Oregon; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Issac "Ike" Gibbs. -
