SEVEN SPRINGS | Malcolm Pinkney Price, 68, of Seven Springs, died March 28, 2015, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by family and friends. A service to celebrate his life will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 31 in the Meeting House of New Hope Friends. A graveside committal service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Seven Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery. Malcolm was born on November 4, 1946, to the late Pinkney and Lyvonne Garner Price of Seven Springs. He was a retired accountant and farmer. Malcolm was a retired member of the Seven Springs Volunteer Fire Department and the Seven Springs Volunteer Rescue Squad. For several years he served as an adult Sunday school teacher. Malcolm loved his family and is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carol Daly Price; a daughter, Hayley Price Eberwein and husband Brian; two sons, Michael and Graham Price; three grandchildren, Will, Wes and Nick Eberwein; two sisters, Judy Price Jackson and husband Woodard, and Kathy Price Jones; a sister-in-law, Glenda Daly Stroud and husband R.D.; eight nephews and many great-nephews and -nieces. In addition to his parents, Malcolm was preceded in death by his mother- and father-in-law, Wilbur and Annie Brown Daly; sister- and brother-in-law, Ed and Annette Daly Daniels, and a brother-in-law, Harold ""Shorty"" Jones Sr. The family will receive friends following the service Tuesday in the Family Life Center of New Hope Friends and at other times at the Price home. Memorials may be made to New Hope Friends Meeting, 4451 U.S. 70 E., Goldsboro, NC 27534 or The Seven Springs Fire Department, P.O. Box 116, Seven Springs, NC 28578.
