Charles Payton Crocker, age 90, of Adams, Wisconsin died Thursday, November 2, 2017 at University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Adams, Wisconsin. Rev. John Krebs will officiate. Interment will be at the Mt. Repose Cemetery, Friendship, Wisconsin. Military honors will be presented by the Adams County Honor Guard.

Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Charles was born December 11, 1926 in Fouke, Mississippi to Benjamin Harrison and Anise (Farmer) Crocker. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Navy. He married Jeanette Elizabeth Pease on December 11, 1955 in Dubuque, Iowa. Charles drove the Ducks in the Dells, Steeple Jack, Ladish Corp., Heitman Corp., and retired from Falk Corp. He and Jeanette returned home to Adams, WI in 1989 following their retirements.

Charles was a master griller of chicken, a Scout Leader for the Boy Scouts, took great pride in teaching his grandchildren about guns and camping and loved spending time with them, and could fix anything.

Charles was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Adams VFW Post #6279.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Anise (Farmer) Crocker; wife, Jeanette Crocker; daughter-in-law, Colleen Crocker; great-grandson, Gideon Heberer.
