Clarence Rosenkranz, Sr., 79, of Caldwell, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 29, 2015. A time to gather with family and friends will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday April 1, 2015 at Hillier Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 10:00 AM, Hillier Funeral Home with John Free officiating. Interment will follow at New Tabor Cemetery, Cooks Point, Texas.

Clarence was born on November 11, 1935 to Lee Rosenkranz and Vlasta W. (Svaton) Rosenkranz in Mumford, Texas. He graduated from Caldwell High School.

He was a beloved Dad and PaPa with a love for the outdoors. Hunting and fishing was his passion. He spent many hours at Wilson Pasture telling many stories around the campfire (lies!) along with family and friends cooking up squirrel stew, roast and fried fish. No one ever left hungry.

He was a little league coach and mentored many kiddos in the Brazos Valley. He could be found in the evenings working as a bouncer at the Lakeview Club and the Texas Hall of Fame. Later in life he could be found at the Cooks Point Store having coffee with his buddies.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Vlasta Rosenkranz; brother, Alfred Rosenkranz and wife, Patsy; and brother, Carl Rosenkranz.

Clarence leaves behind his loving children, Clarence "Bubba" Rosenkranz, Jr. and wife, Dawna; and daugther, Terri Balanga and husband, Charles; brother, Alvin Rosenkranz; and sister, Shirley Lampo and husband Donald; grandchildren, Candice and Jacob Freeman, Clayton Rosenkranz, Kristin and Kevin Farmer, Danielle and Lonnie Crenshaw, and Colton Rosenkranz; great-grandchildren, Rylee and Asher Freeman; nephew, DJ Lampo and wife Jennifer and niece, Brandi Lampo.
