Dawn M. James, 45, of Bethlehem was called home by the Angels on Sunday, March 29, 2015, surrounded by her loving family and close friends. She was the loving wife of Scott James. They celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary last October. Born on July 9, 1969 in Fountain Hill, she was the daughter of Joseph and Patsy (Cope) Palhofski of Bethlehem.

Dawn graduated from Liberty High School in 1987 and was a member of the Liberty High School Grenadier Band, where she had played the symbols. She worked as a teacher's assistant at Bethlehem Area School District since 1994. Dawn was active as the secretary and treasurer of the Teacher Aid Union; Vice President of the Northeast Band Parent Association for two years and a member of the Liberty Girls soccer team booster club. She was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Bethlehem.

Survivors: along with her loving husband and parents, daughter, Mackenzie; brother, Stanley of Emmaus.

Services: 11 am Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Cantelmi Funeral Home, 1311 Broadway, Fountain Hill.
