He was the son of the late Jessie and Henry Berry. Burt was also preceded in death by his parents, and brothers John, Randal, and Herschel. He is survived by loving wife of 61 years, Barbara Keenan Berry; nephew, Bill Berry; nieces, Elaine Wredberg, Linda Harrott and Pat Brooker.
He attended SMU and earned degrees in Accounting and Law. Mr. Berry practiced law in Dallas for over 50 years. In 1985 he became a partner in law office building with three friends and has maintained the proud Partnership until his death.
He also briefly played semi-pro baseball and continued to love the game throughout his life.
Burt was a members of First Baptist Church for more than 60 years, where he served as a deacon.
