Rachel Carignan Hyatt, 92, of Middleburg, FL, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2015. She was born on March 28, 1923 in Gilford, NH to parents Noel and Alice (Ducharme) Carignan. She was a WWII Veteran of the United States Navy.


Mrs. Hyatt moved to Clay County in 2004, relocating from Mexico. She was a member of St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church in Orange Park as well as the Red Hat Society and Garden Club. She was a loving wife, wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a friend to all.


Mrs. Hyatt was predeceased by her parents and husband, Edward Hyatt and is survived by her sons, John F. Hyatt (Raquel) and William E. Hyatt; daughters, Carole A. Carson (Thomas), Donna M. Culp, Dianne R. Hyatt, Joanne A. Ingram (Francis), Patricia A. Voege (Robert) and Theresa Weldon (Wesley); Twenty grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 6, 2015 at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church with Father Rafael Lavilla as celebrant. Inurnment will be at 2:00 p.m. at the Jacksonville National Cemetery with military honors conferred. Arrangements are under the care of Broadus-Raines Funeral Home, 501 Spring St., Green Cove Springs, FL
