Chas E. "Charlie" Throneberry, 69, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family. Charlie was born in Nixa, Missouri to HH and Lois (Aven) Throneberry. He was baptized at an early age in the Church of Christ Nixa.Charlie served in the Missouri National Guard from 1954 to 1960. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents and his only son Gregory Lee, his first wife, Nancy, and his brothers-in-law Rollan D. Rogers and Michael McCallister.He is survived by his wife of the home Judy Scherr-Throneberry and his sister Betty L. Rogers of Tulsa, OK; brothers-in-law, Patrick L. Scherr of Springfield, MO, Steve Scherr of Jefferson City, MO, and Dr. David Martin of Omaha, AR; sisters-in-law, Marty Scherr of Jefferson City, MO, Monica McCallister of Springfield, MO and Jody Martin of Omaha, AR; nieces Jacque Rogers-Scholl of Tulsa, OK, Rena Scherr of Jefferson City, MO and Rebecca Martin of Fayetteville, AR; nephews Mark Rogers of Dallas, TX, Chad Scherr of New York, NJ, Todd Scherr, Troy Scherr and Adam Scherr all of Jefferson City, MO, Michael Lee McCallister of Springfield, MO and David Martin of Fayetteville, AR; he also had many cousins he loved dearly.We wish to thank Dr. Gary Hoos, Charlies' oncologist at St. John's Regional Health Center and Community Hospice, including Stephanie Scott and Kenya Lear, for their generous support and kindness. A very special thank you to Jeannie Rimmer for her courageous assistance the last 6 days and nights of Charlie' life.We regret due to family illness that we will be unable to host visitors following the ceremony.Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 21, 2005 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Thieme-Shadel Funeral Service at Rivermonte with burial to follow in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided.
