Mrs. John (Evelyn) Veer, 620 E. Crocker St., died this morning at her home. She lived in Freeport for 35 years, coming here from Dakota. Born May 22, 1899, in Rock Run Township, she was the daughter of John and Anna (Holsapple) Meyer. She married John M. Veer on Nov. 5, 1942 in Freeport. She is survived by her husband. She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Dakota. The Rev. Ted Jones, pastor of the Dakota United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Dakota Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
