Peggy was a long time resident of Orange County until she suffered a stroke and moved to Las Vegas to be close to her daughter Julie. She was a gracious lady with a kind and loving spirit. Peggy brought joy to all who knew her. Amidst all her struggles with her illness she remained strong, humbled and made the best of her situation. She was known for her dry and witty sense of humor, fantastic memory and her love of life. Peggy devoted many years of her life caring for others. While in Orange she was very active in her church, Covenant Presbyterian and with the Republican Women's group.
Peggy is survived by her daughter, Julie Larson of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Joan Dickenson and her husband Don of Brentwood, CA; brother in law, Dean George and his wife Jan of Temecula, CA; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Loma Vista Memorial Park in Fullerton.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Peggy's memory can be made to St. Joseph Stroke Rehabilitation Program c/o St. Joseph Hospital Foundation 1100 W. Stewart Drive Orange, CA 92868, or to an Animal Rescue/Humane Society in your area.
