Services for Mrs. Lucia D. Phillips, 81, of Greenville Nursing Home, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Coker-Mathews-Peters Chapel with Rev. Richard Atkinson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Phillips died Thursday.

She was born in Kaufman County on March 17, 1896, to L.J. and Mattie Galbraith Taggart. She was married Dec. 19, 1913, in Floyd to Chester L. Phillips. She was a member of the Methodist Church and Eastern Star.

Survivors are her husband; two sons, Howard Phillips and Harold Phillips of Stafford; two sisters, Mrs. Muriel Mason of Gladewater and Mrs. Mable Bennett of Greenville; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Chester Phillips Jr., and a brother, Bryan Taggart.

Pallbearers will be James Taggart, Herman Bennett Jr., Bobby Phillips, B.G. Turner, Bennie Patterson, R.C. Crockett and William Earl Ferguison (sic).
