Lynn Edward Webber, 76, of Adams, Minnesota, died Saturday, March, 28, 2015, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Lynn was born on Jan. 14, 1939, in Austin, Minnesota, to Raymond and Aurelia (Campbell) Webber. Lynn attended school in Taopi from first- through eighth-grade before graduating from Adams High School in 1957. Lynn was homecoming king of Adams High in 1956. He excelled in baseball, basketball, and football and was All Conference Honors in all three sports. On Nov. 15, 1960, Lynn married Helen Marie Retterath at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He retired from George A. Hormel Co. and was a proud member of the Local P-9. In his retirement, Lynn worked as a caretaker at the High Forest rest area.

Lynn was proud of his children and adored his grandchildren. He coached grade-school football. He enjoyed his sons’ sports events and later he loved to watch his grandchildren’s sporting events. He loved babysitting his precious granddaughter – his little Sadie Bug (3-and-a-half years old). In his spare time, Lynn enjoyed hunting ducks, geese, deer and bear with his sons, grandsons and friends. He also did taxidermy and trapping with his sons. Lynn was in the Donor Program. He loved John Wayne movies and all westerns.

Lynn was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Ducks Unlimited.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Aurelia Webber; and his brother Bob Webber.

Lynn is survived by his wife: Helen Webber, Adams, Minnesota; son Anthony “Potsy” Webber, Harmony, Minnesota; daughter Tamara Larsen, Adams, Minnesota; son Timothy (Annette) Webber, Rangely, Colorado; daughter Pamela (Jason) Teerink, St. Paul, Minnesota; son Matthew (Kerry) Webber, Adams, Minnesota; nine grandchildren: Brittany Webber, Shane Webber, Bryce Larsen, Mitchell Webber, McKenzie Webber, Marshall Webber, Katlin Webber, Christopher Webber, and Sadie Webber.

A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Swaminatha Pothireddy officiating. Sue Finbraaten was the organist. Private burial will take place at a later date.

We would like to thank everyone for all the kindness shown to our family. We extend a special thank you to all the law officers who attended the service, the Southland Baseball players who attended in their uniforms, friends and relatives.
