HEREFORD - Funeral Mass for Sylvester A. Fangman, 51, who died Monday in Deaf Smith General Hospital, will be recited at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Anthony's Catholic Church.

The Rev. Fr. McCorry, will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Gililland-Watson Funeral Home.

Rosary was said Tuesday night in Rose Chapel of the funeral home. Another rosary will be said at 8 p.m. today in the chapel.

Mr. Fangman, born in Pilot Point, came to Hereford in 1924 from Littlefield.

He was a farmer.

Mr. Fangman married Rosie Mae Saltzman in Hereford in 1945. She died in 1957.

Mr. Fangman was a Catholic and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include three sons, Richard, Donnie and Clifford, and five daughters, Mrs. Sylvis Paetzold and Rosemary, Dianna, Doris and Mary Fangman, all of Hereford; three sisters, Mrs. Walter Paetzold of Phoenix, and Mrs. Ed Bezner and Mrs. Mike Detzen, both of Hereford; two brothers, Eugene and James, both of Vega; and six grandchildren.
