Mrs. Chance taught in the Atwater school system.
She was a member of the Atwater United Methodist Church, the Alliance Ladies Shrine, and the Kadesh Court in Akron.
Survivors include her son, Robert Herchek of New Symrna Beach, Fla.; step-daughter, Jean Chance Lippert of Trenton, Mich.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Her husbands, Andrew Herchek and Charles Chance died previously.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Wood-Kortright Funeral Home, Atwater Chapel, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday with the Rev. John Mather officiating. Burial will take place in the Hillside Cemetery in Randolph.
Memorials may be made to the Atwater United Methodist Church.
