He was born in Salt Lake City on July 27, 1925, the son of Clyde Milo Mitchell and Lorena Ottinger Mitchell.
He worked for and retired from Mountain Fuel.
He was an avid fisherman and loved to go fly fishing.
He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Kim (Lisa), Blair (Karin), Nancy, Michael (Joann), and Gordon; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family would like to give a special thanks to One Care Hospice for their care and support.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Mountain View Memorial Estates Cemetery, 3115 East Bengal Boulevard (7800 South).
