Mary Cook Graves was the daughter of Larkin and Jane "Jennie" Cook. She married Greenville Harrison Graves on 14 Oct 1834, in Georgetown, Vermilion County, Illinois, at the residence of her parents. Together she and Greenville had nine children, to wit: Margaret Jane Graves; Bluford S. Graves; Cidda Ann Graves; Samantha Graves; Lucinda Graves; James Henry Graves; Joseph Graves; Lemuel Taylor Graves and Susan Elizabeth Graves. Mary was eight years older than Greenville. She died at the old homestead four miles from Danville. Mary's tombstone is to the left of Greenville's in Spring Hill Cemetery.
