Jay R. Lucas, 96, was born to Charles P. and Elizabeth Lucas. He was a resident of Chowchilla, Ca. for 57 years. He was a former superintendent for 25 years at Dixieland Elementary School in Madera County. He was proud to be an educator for over 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Lucas; his parents, Charles P. and Elizabeth Lucas, by his two brothers, Levi Lucas and Ralph Lucas, and by his sister, Sybilla Graves. He is survived by his son, Scott Lucas of Merced, Ca. and by his daughter, Sandie Click of Saratoga, Ca. He will also be missed by his four grandchildren, Julie Lucas, Laurie Loaiza, Emily Lucas and Josh Click.
