Mrs. Maxine A. Davis Henry, age 92, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Pioneer Community Hospital of Scott in Oneida, TN. Mrs. Henry was born on April 5, 1922, to the late James Davis and Maggie Smith Davis. She was a member of the Jakes Branch Baptist Church and was an inspiration to all with whom she came in contact.

Besides her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Esau Henry; three sons, James R. Henry of Winfield, TN, Donald Lee Henry of Oneida, and infant son, Wilburn Henry; two daughters, Christine Dishman of Indianapolis, IN, and Barbara Vanderzyl of Robbins, TN; four brothers, Ogal Davis of Oneida, TN, Coleman Davis of Crossville, TN, Bill Davis of Harriman, TN and Russell Davis of Soddy Daisy, TN; and one sister, Zona Mathis of Soddy Daisy, TN.

She is survived by her four daughters, Joyce Myers and husband Bobby of Cleveland, TN, Ruby Dishman of Robbins, Margaret Henry of Monticello, KY, and Ona Lowe and husband Dorsey of Pioneer, TN; a special great grandson, Caleb Kiser, and a special great granddaughter, Whitney Kiser; many, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and other special friends and relatives.

Friends may visit with the Henry family on Monday, March 30, 2015, at the Jakes Branch Baptist Church in the Pioneer Community from 4:00 pm until time of funeral service at 6:00 p.m. with Bro. Jerry Chitwood, and Bro. Dorsey Lowe officiating. Music will be provided by the Jakes Branch Baptist Church Choir. Interment is scheduled for Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. in the Black Creek Cross Roads Cemetery in the Robbins Community.

Serving as pallbearers will be Morgan Woodward, Cameron Powell, Darrell Dishman, Christopher Dishman, Natasha Paute, and Tony Jones.
