Charles W. Dittenhafer, 71, of 2016 Harvard Ave., Camp Hill, died Wednesday in the Renova Center, Lower Allen Twp.
He was a retired captain of the fire department at the Navy Ships Parts Control Center, Hampden Twp.; a former Camp Hill fire chief and Camp Hill's first fire marshal; and was a member of Camp Hill Church of God and its Winebrenner Brotherhood, Camp Hill Fire Company, the Cumberland Valley and Pennsylvania firemen's associations, American Legion Post 43, Camp Hill, VFW Post 2493, Mount Wolf, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, and the Green Springs Hunting Camp.
Surviving are his wife, Wilma L. Dittenhafer.
