Benning Main Post Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 10 til 12 noon at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus. Jeffrey W. Corban was born June 30, 1975 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Son of Douglas Mac Corban of Spencer, Indiana, and Mary Katherine Corban of Merriam, Kansas. He was a Pentecostal by faith. He was a SPC. in the U.S. Army serving in Iraq. The following awards were presented to SPC. Corban, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary, Good Conduct Medal, Clasp Brackets 1st award Bronze Star , and Purple Heart. Survivors other than his parents include his wife Joy Ellen Corban of Ft Benning, Ga; two sons Steven Douglas Corban of Ft. Benning, Ga., and Tyler Nicholas Laidlaw of Tucson, Arizona; sister, Lori Ann Fitzgerald of Overland Park, Kansas; cousin, Sgt. Christopher Kramb who escorted SPC. Jeffrey Corban back to Columbus, Ga.
