Philip L. Scott July 28, 1959 - March 3, 2015 LAKEVILLE - Philip L. Scott, 55, of Lakeville, IN, passed away at 10:50 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at his home with his daughters by his side. He was born on July 28, 1959, in Bremen, IN, to Kenneth Leon Scott and Hazel "Sue" (Hawkins) Scott. On September 15, 1979, in South Bend, IN, he was united in marriage to Sheila A. (Center) Feitz Scott. Mr. Scott is survived by his wife, Sheila Scott; mother, Hazel "Sue" Scott; daughter, Lee Ann (Brian) Kissinger of Walkerton, IN; stepdaughter, Dee Ann (Ray) Edson of Lakeville, IN; two stepsons, Frank (Angela) Feitz of Lakeville, IN, and Vince (Angie) Feitz of LaPaz, IN; twelve grandchildren, Alexia, Dustin, Adelia and A.J. Kissinger, Aaron (Brittany) and Amber Rowe, Sarah (Terrell) Newkirk, Shania, Faith, Victoria, Dennis and Celeste Feitz; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters, Tina Burch of Teegarden, IN, and Susan Scott of Buchanan, MI; and brother, John (Beth) Scott of Carmel, IN. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Leon Scott and baby sister, Mary Kathleen Scott. Philip was a lifelong resident of the area and worked for Bomarko in Plymouth, IN, for twelve years before becoming disabled. He faced many obstacles and traumatic illnesses in his life, yet through it all still had a keen sense of humor, a ready smile and strong love for God, his family and friends. He attended Faith Christian Chapel in Lakeville. Philip was a loving and gentle man who loved God and his family more than anything. The joys of his life were his daughter, Lee Ann, and his grandchildren. His most joyous times were spent singing and dancing with his grandchildren, playing library, restaurant, and teaching them to paint. Philip was a true artist at heart and loved to paint, especially ceramics. He and his wife, Sheila, attended many ceramic shows, selling his wares and was well-known for being a perfectionist. He was also a great lover of trains of any kind, music and studying the Bible. Philip's other true passion was writing poetry, having posted many poems on StarlightCafe.com and even had poems published. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2015, at Faith Christian Chapel, 20876 Pierce Road, Lakeville, IN. Graveside services and burial will follow at Bremen Cemetery, Bremen, IN. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services at church. Contributions in memory of Philip L.
