Amelia McGuire who has been in failing health passed away 9-26-1912. She was born in Canterbury, NB., Canada 10-13-1853 the daughter of Hugh and Julia (Dickinson) Jamieson. She was 1 of 11 children of whom 8 survive. On 5-17-1874 she married Alonzo McGuire and they had 5 children, Mrs. Nathan (Dora) Cook, Mrs. F.C. (Maud) Webb, Mrs. F. Parker (Lucy) Jacques, Hugh McGuire and Roy McGuire, all of Presque Isle. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 5 brothers, Julius of Minneapolis, Charles and Amaziah of Oregon, Hugh and Fred of Presque Isle, 3 sisters, Mrs. Fred (Margaret) Rice of Boston, Mrs. Gustave (Carrie) Savage and Mrs. W.A. (Mary) Reed, both of Presque Isle. Burial Fairmount cemetery.
