Allie Marie "Almarie" Cannon, age 92, of Fenwick Island died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, March 25, 2015. She was born in Selbyville and was the daughter of the late Samuel D. and Bessie A. (Derrickson) Bennett.
Allie Marie helped her husband Clifton in the Ford Dealership in Berlin. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Frankford Chapter #12 and Sound United Methodist Church near Williamsville.
She is survived by a niece, Wanda W. Burleson of Salisbury; her dearest friends, Robert and Shirley Rhodes and William, Terri, Caitlin and Bobbie Lee Collins all of Selbyville and her beloved dog Buster II.
She was preceded in death by her husband, E. Clifton Cannon, a sister, Amanda E. Warrington, a niece, Donna W. Sturgis and a nephew, Jehu B. Warrington.
A funeral service will be held at 12 pm on Monday, March 30 at Hastings Funeral Home in Selbyville with Pastor Ronald Kelly officiating. Friends may call an hour before the service. Burial will be in St. George's Cemetery in Clarksville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Worcester County Humane Society, P.O. Box 48, Berlin, MD 21811.
