J. L. BRAWLEY DIES OF ATTACK

Jennings Lee Brawley, 58, of 3708 Staunton Avenue, chief clerk for the Raleigh-Wyoming Mining Company, died yesterday at Glen Rogers, Wyoming County, after suffering a heart attack.

He was a brother of Harry M. Brawley of the staff of radio and television station WCHS here.

Mr. Brawley had been employed by the Raleigh-Wyoming Mining Company for 30 years.

A native of Charleston, he was a graduate of Charleston High School, and was a member of Clendenin Lodge 126 of AF&AM; the Beckley Elks Lodge; and St. Marks Methodist Church here.

Mr. Brawley was scout commissioner of Wyoming district of the Appalachian Scout Council.

Also surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lucille Bell Brawley; a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Wilson of Hamilton, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Virgil Frizzell of Charleston and Mrs. Jessie Ray of West Palm Beach, Florida; and two grandsons.

Service, to be conducted by Rev. Alfred Bennett, will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow in St. Marks Methodist Church here. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park at South Charleston under the direction of Bartlett mortuary.

The body is at the residence and will be taken to the church one hour prior to the service.
