Lewis Carroll Rardin, 87, of Ravenswood, W.Va., passed away March 23, 2015, in the Holzer-Meigs Emergency Department, Pomeroy, Ohio.

He was born Feb. 15, 1928, in Sherman, W.Va., a son of the late Everette C. and Gladys Marie (Staats) Rardin.

His wife, Osie Mae (Hill) Rardin; brothers, Harold, Bernard, Clair, Carl E., and Lindy Charles; and a sister, Ruth Bednar, also preceded him in death.

Lewis was farmer, a former heavy equipment operator for Boso & Ritchie, and was a retired school bus operator for the Jackson County Board of Education. He was also a retired truck driver from Smith Transfer.

Survivors include his son, Carroll Allen Rardin of Ravenswood; brother, Kenna Rardin of Millwood; sister, Betty Thompson of Melbourne, Fla.; granddaughters, Elizabeth Dauch and Leslie Arnold; and great-grandchildren, Lucas Dauch, Blake Dauch, Michael Dauch, Rylee Arnold, and Kaden Arnold.

Service will be 2 p.m., Sunday, March 29, at Casto Funeral Home, Ravenswood, W.Va., with Pastor Steve White officiating. Burial will follow in Ravenswood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until time of service on Sunday at the funeral home.
