Anderson - Ann Bireley Barber, 82, Anderson, died July 8, 2010 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana. She was born August 2, 1927 in Hammond, Indiana, and lived most of her life in Anderson. She was a graduate of St. Mary's High School and St. John's School of Nursing. Ann was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Current Events Club, Crashaw Club, Clio Club, Over the Tea Cups Club, Anderson Country Club, Walloon Lake County Club and several bridge clubs. She was a great cook and always enjoyed having family and friends to her home for parties and celebrations. Survivors include her children, Jeffrey W. Barber Susan, James R. Barber Claire, Thomas D. Barber and Elizabeth A. Barber Lackey Blake; grandchildren, Andrew Barber, Jack Barber, Molly Barber, Jay Barber, Olivia, Meredith & Laura Lackey; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, whom she maried October 25, 1952, John W. Barber, Jr. on August 16, 2005; parents, Maurice O. & Marie Bireley; and a brother, James Bireley. Visitation will be from 2-4 PM on Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson. Services will be Monday, July 12, 2010 at 1:00 PM, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Rev. Robert Williams officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum .
