Joe was a farmer when he was younger but when he decided to got married to his wife Rachel and they started having children he moved his family to KC, Mo. were there were more jobs.
During this period in time he applied for a job and was hired on to help build (The American Royal Building at 23 Street Viaduct and Wyoming in the West Bottoms.
A few years later Joe got a job on the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad in short referred to as the (KATY) line. The building he worked in was called The Round House he worked there until he retired.
