Edna A. Sullivan, age 76, of Bruneau, Idaho, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015, at a Boise hospital.

A graveside inurnment will be held 11 a.m. at the Bruneau Cemetery on Saturday, March 28, 2015. Cremation is under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.

Edna was a beautiful and cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Her great sense of humor and wonderful personality will truly be missed. She was a kind hearted and giving person.

Edna was born in Hamilton Township, Michigan on July 17, 1938. Her parents were Joseph Jewel Townsend and Rebecca Ellen Ponder. Edna had one brother, Robert Joseph Townsend (Nikki), of Gaines, MI; and two sisters, Patricia Ann Block (Don), of Grand Rapids, MI, and Peggy Sue Norton (Fred), of Belleville, IL, who preceded her in death.

Edna graduated from Gladwin High School in 1956 in Gladwin, Mich., where she was crowned Homecoming Queen as a senior.

Edna married her husband of 58 years, William Austin Sullivan, in 1956. He was her longtime childhood friend and later her high school sweetheart.

Edna and William had three children: Danny L. Sullivan, of Spring Creek, NV, Denise L. (Jeff) Averett, of Grantsville, UT, and Debra Louise Sullivan, who preceded her in death.

Edna loved her family. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and her flowers. She worked for the school district for approximately 21 years as a cook and kitchen supervisor in California and as a Food Service Manager over three schools, the elementary, junior high and high school in Wyoming.

Edna is survived by her husband, William; two of her children: her son, Danny Sullivan, and her daughter, Denise (Jeff) Averett; her grandchildren, Celesta (Eric) Critchlow, William Cecil (Meagan) Averett, Stacey (Riley) Atherley, Mary Averett and Jeffrey Averett; and by seven great-grandchildren.
