Joseph F. Michelin Jr., 69, of Barton, Vt., died Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009 at his home.
Born in Amesbury, Jan. 1, 1940, he was the son of Cecile (Lizotte) and the late Joseph F. Michelin Sr.
Mr. Michelin owned and operated several auto sales and repair shops in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. He loved working on automobiles and ran the body shop at Regan Ford for many years.
His survivors include his mother, Cecile (Lizotte) Michelin of Merrimac; his children, Joseph F. III of Manchester, N.H., James of Barton, Pattyann Michelin of Seabrook, N.H., Linda Souther of Epping, N.H., Diane Benson and her husband Edward of New Hampshire, John of Salem, Mass.; seven grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Sanborn and Sheila Michelin, both of Merrimac, Teresa Sheehan and her husband Paul of Hampton, N.H.; and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services and burial at Locust Grove Cemetery, Merrimac, took place Wednesday, Dec. 2. Arrangements were by the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Route 125) Haverhill. Burial will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery, Locust Grove Avenue, Merrimac.
