Robert Samuel "Bobby" Cupp, 75, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away at his home on Thursday, March 26, 2015.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 30, at 1:00 p.m. at Prospect Hill Cemetery conducted by Sammy Campbell. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 29, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home.
Mr. Cupp was born November 19, 1939 in Pennsylvania, son of the late Robert Paul Cupp and Lena Hayes Graybill Cupp.
"Bobby" attended public schools in Warren County, VA, graduated from Clarke County High School in 1959 and was a member of the Warren County class of 1959. He played trombone in the Warren County High School band as well as football in his 1958 W.C.H.S. school year. He was also a member of Boy Scout troop 52 in Front Royal.
He retired as a cartographer with the United States Geological Survey and was the owner of Calamus Creek Christmas Tree Farm. Mr. Cupp was a member of the Virginia Christmas Tree Growers Association and was an avid collector of arrowheads.
He was married to the late Mary Florence Tolliver Cupp.
Surviving are his children and their spouses, Robert McKinley Cupp and wife Terry, Kate Geneva Nedrich and her husband Matt Piepenburg, Mollie Mary Lena Cupp, Meghan Elizabeth Cupp, Melissa Naomi Cupp and her husband Ryan Campbell, and Hannah Eliza Blair and her husband Charles Jackson Blair, II; one brother, Floyd Cupp and his wife Esther Cupp; 12 grandchildren, Zachary Nedrich, Jamison Olinger, Clay Nedrich, Addison Cupp, Isaac Nedrich, Aidan Nedrich, Britt Cupp, Ben Piepenburg, Ryan Campbell, Charlie Blair, Natalie Campbell, and Sam Blair; and two great grandchildren.
