William Riley Blanchard was in the Civil war, Company H of the 11th Vermont Regiment and was wounded in his right hand on June 2nd 1864 during a battle at Cold Harbor, Virginia which lasted from June 1st through June 12th, 1864.
His parents were Moses Blanchard Jr and 2nd wife, Editha or Edatha Sargent. He has half-siblings from Mose's first wife Lucy Rowe which include Solomon, Allen, Louisa and I believe Henry K Blanchard. He died of stomach cancer.
