Dillon - Rev. Benjamin Ronald Cook, Sr., 79, passed away at McLeod Hospital in Dillon on March 27, 2015.

He was born July 24, 1935, a son of the late John Talmadge and Adrinee Cooley Cook. After retirement he was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Dillon. He graduated from Ware Shoals High, North Greenville Jr. College, Furman University, and Southeastern Seminary. He had served as pastor of Riceville Baptist Church, Riceville, Va., Dorchester Baptist Church, Belton, and Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Dillon. He was a member of the Dillon Lodge # 142 A.F.M.

Survivors include his daughter, Donna Leigh Cook of Salisbury, N.C. , and a son, Jonathan Mark Cook and wife Lori of Little River. He was pre-deceased by a son Benjamin Roanld Cook, Jr.

Graveside services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Alton Nix officiating.

The family is at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to McLeod Hospice, Box 100551, Florence, S.C. 29502-0551 or to the church or charity of one’s choice.
