Nathan Scott Henderson, 20, of Cohutta, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001, at Hamilton Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Helen Henderson. Nathan was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church and was the secretary of the Dalton Amateur Radio Club.

He graduated from Northwest Whitfield High School and West Georgia Technical College.

Survivors include his parents, Bill and Lydia Henderson of the residence; one sister, Heidi Renae Henderson of the residence; maternal grandparents, Harold and Lois McFalls of Dalton; aunts and uncles, Gary and Cindy Ogle and Lynn and Pam Henderson, all of Cohutta; cousins, Jeremy and Daniel Henderson of Cohutta; special friends, Franky Ridley and Sheena Whisenant, both of Dalton.

Services are today at 4 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Dr. Rodger Whorton and the Rev. Franky Ridley officiating.

Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home Wednesday.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Good Hope Baptist Church Youth Fund.

Nathan was a great classmate and I enjoyed taking notes for him on carbon paper. Couldn't believe he passed away when I was in David Douglas Class at Dalton State College on Sept 12, 2001. He will be missed by many.
