Direct descendant of Nez Pierce Chief Joseph and distant cousin of the younger Chief Joseph.

She was affiliated with Cofederated Tribes of the Umatilla.

As a child she spoke only Nez Pierce until nine years old and attendence at school. She attended St. Andrew's Catholic Church near Pendleton Oregon which was on land donated by her grandfather.

She graduated from high school in Pendleton, OR and was recruited as a 'Rosie the Riveter' in Los Angeles CA.

She married 1947 Darwin MOE.

In 1957, they moved to Pearblossom CA when Darwin began working for Lockheed Aircraft.

She traveled annually to the Umatilla Reservation for the Pow Wow and visit with relatives.

She was preceded in death by husband, son (Richard Glenn), parents, sisters and brothers.

Survived by daughters and sons.
