Lacon, IL - Sandra K. Harvey, 74, of Lacon passed away peacefully at 10:15 a.m. Sunday, March 22, 2015, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, with her family at her side.
She was born Dec. 5, 1940, in Lacon, the daughter of Charles and Dorothy Tary Newell. Sandra married Richard Harvey on Nov. 20, 1970, in Lacon.
Surviving are her husband of 44 years; one daughter, Valeria Hawksworth of Henry; one son, Charles (Hong Liu) Hawksworth of Lacon; one sister, Mary Weakland of Somerset, Pa.; one grandson, Charles Hawksworth III of Aurora, Colo.; several nieces and nephews; and many good friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Ruby and Ada.
Sandra was a fun-loving and compassionate person who loved life. She will be missed.
Cremation rites will be accorded. There will be no services.
Davison-Fulton Anderson Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
