Carl A. Wold was born in Jackson County, July 4, 1870, and came to Douglas County in 1882 with his parents, settling on a farm near Brandon. He was united in marriage on July 4, 1900 to Miss Eva Emerson. Mr. Wold has been engaged in the newspaper business for many years, coming to Alexandria from Brandon where he first operated a newspaper.
He was a member of the 1912 and 1914 legislature. Beside his wife, one daughter, Blanch, a number of other relatives survive him.
