Funeral services for Morgan Ferguson Miller, 89, of Troup are scheduled for 3:00 pm, Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Cottle Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Wesley McCasland officiating. Burial will be in the Rucker Cemetery, under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.

Mr. Miller passed away March 26, 2015 in Tyler.

He was born January 5, 1926 in Arp, Texas, to Clifton Miller and Leta Mae Bain Fields.

Mr. Miller owned and operated Miller’s ARCO Gas Station for several years in Troup. He enjoyed setting up at FirstMondayTradeDays Canton, Texas visiting and making friends and installing handles in hammers, hoes, rakes and other type of tools that needed a new wooden handle.

He was a US World War II Navy veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife Katherine Miller.

Survivors include daughter, Linda Sanders and significant other Earl Bowles of Ben Wheeler; brother, Bob Fields and wife Alice of Troup; grandchildren, Michael Bender and wife Genia of Mixon, Morgan Bender and wife Claudia of Troup; 7 great grandchildren, Krista Crane, Lauren Smith, Briana Bender, Jessica Molnari, Jaclyn Bender, Julissa Bender and Jake Bender; 7 great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Saturday, March 28, 2015.
