Camilio A. Sanchez, age 94, a former resident of Los Lunas, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014, in Ketchikan, Alaska.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who always did what was best for his family. He was a great friend to everyone. Everyone whose life he touched was better for it. We will miss him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jennie; and his three sons, Camilio Jr., Robert and Manuel Sanchez.
Camilio is survived by his sons, Raymond Sanchez and wife, Carol, Dennis Sanchez and wife, Cathy, Steve Sanchez and wife, Magdalene, Chris Sanchez and wife, Barbara; his daughter, Jennie Garcia and husband, Greg; 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Norma Sanchez.
A viewing will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m., Friday, Jan. 2, with a Rosary to be recited at 11 a.m. by Dennis and Cathy Sanchez. Interment will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, where he will join his wife, Jennie.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Sanchez, Steve Sanchez, Chris Sanchez, Greg Garcia, James Sanchez and Jonathan Sanchez, with Patrick Garcia serving as an honorary pallbearer.
