Mrs. Esther E. Rhoads died at 4:15 o'clock this morning at her home, 158 N. 13th Street after an illness of 11 weeks. Her maiden name was Esther E. Corson, and she was born near Petroleum Center January 27, 1861.
At the age of three, her family moved to a farm near Cooperstown where she spent her childhood and early life. Thirty-nine years ago last September she married Miles Rhoads, after which she lived in Franklin. She was a home-loving woman, always ready to sacrifice not only for her family, but for her friends and acquaintances. She was a member of the First Baptist Sunday School, which she attended regularly, up to the time of her illness.
Besides her husband, she is survived by children, Mrs. Stanley Reese, Mrs. Arthur Reese, Mrs. Claude B. Yarletts, all of this city, Guy and Warren Rhoads at home; brothers and sisters, Mrs. F. E. Moore, Mrs. William Graner of Franklin, Mrs. P, A. Burns of Titusville, Mrs. Herbert Black of Grove City, L. C. Corson of Cooperstown, and Albert Corson of Jamestown, NY.
