She was born February 23, 1925 in Ritchie Co., W.Va., a daughter of the late Henry and Dora DeMoss Lambert.
Dorothea was a homemaker and enjoyed being with her family. She was a member of the St. Marys United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Wilson (Lance) of Florence, S.C.; two sons, Larry Higgins (LaVaughn) of Greenwood, W.Va. and Timothy Lee Wright (Sandy) of Hayesville, N.C.; daughter-in-law, Gretchen Wright Himmeger of St. Marys, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Lisa Morrison (Steve) of Mt. Clare, W.Va., Jeff Wilson of Texas, Jane Wilson of Parkersburg and Jennifer Wilson of Pittsburgh, Pa.; one great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Louise Morrison; and other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Perley Higgins; her second husband, William O. Wright; her son, Thomas Dale Wright; one brother, William Lambert; and one sister, Mildred Eddy.
There will be a memorial service at St. Marys United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 18 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Cindy Eakle officiating. Inurnment will be at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in St. Marys.
