Mr. Barber worked for and retired from Williams Steel Company having 42 years of service. He was also a very active member of Calvary Baptist Church of Jackson, TN, where he had been a Sunday School Teacher and Deacon.
At the time of his death, he was survived by his wife, Virginia McCall Barber of Jackson, TN; one daughter, Jane Barber Nichols (now Betts) of Jackson, TN and two grandchildren, Andy and Cindy Nichols of Jackson, TN.
During Cayce's last months to live, his wife and constant companion, Virginia, was determined to make sure that he was able to be at home, and she tirelessly took care of him. He and Virginia were a testament to what a marriage should be.
