Lenzy Bell Breedlove Sr was born on January 1, 1896 in Davidson County, Tennessee, the son of William Cornelius "W C" Breedlove (1856-1918) and his 2nd wife Lula B (Henderson) Breedlove (1864-1935).

He was married 1st to Lila Delaney Carney (5 Aug 1899–6 Aug 1917), the daughter of Isaac Carney and Dora (Vester) Carney. Lila died of typhoid fever. He was married 2nd on January 30, 1919 in Davidson County to Sadie "Mai" Tant (1901-1990), the daughter of Joseph Kinchen Tant (1873–1947) and Sadie Rai (Hight) Tant (1876–1943).

A farmer out of Jordonia, Lenzy was 33 years old when he was in an automobile accident and died of his injuries on January 8, 1929 at Dozier Hospital in Nashville.

Survivors included his wife, children Dorothy Breedlove, Lula Rai (Breedlove) Larkins, Angie Breedlove, Lenzy Bell Breedlove Jr, John Levoy Breedlove and Clarence Breedlove and brothers W Breedlove, Q S Breedlove and E T Breedlove.

Funeral Services were held at Jordania M E Church, and burial was on January 10th in the Family Burial Ground.
