He was born April 25, 1948, in Pennsylvania to Benjamin Rush Faust III, and Betty Isenberg Faust. He moved to Washington, D.C. in 1970 and attended Strayer College, from which he graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lee Denley Faust, and his two children, Joanna and Anthony Faust, of Virginia.
He is also survived by four siblings, Polly Smith, Cheryl Hamilton, Michael Faust, and Christa Brown, all of Pennsylvania, as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Pennsylvania and Mississippi.
He served 30 years at the Central Intelligence Agency on multiple assignments in Washington, D.C., Germany, and England. He spent the last fifteen years of his retirement dividing his time between Mississippi and Virginia.
He was an avid outdoorsman, gardener, runner, Civil War buff, volunteer fireman, and sports fan. He spent his retirement doing the things he loved, surrounded by family, friends, horses, and dogs.
Visitation and Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 12, 2013 at Everly Funeral Home, www.everlyfuneralhomefairfax.com in Fairfax, Virginia. The visitation will be at 11 a.m., and the funeral will be from noon to 1 p.m.
